Precison Sheet Metal

APE produces precision sheet metal fabrication for the aerospace, defense, and industrial machinery markets. Utilizing advanced laser cutting, press brakes, and PEM hardware, we deliver high-quality, precise components that meet the stringent standards and specifications of these demanding industries.

Fabrication

At APE's fabrication department, components from various parts of the business are meticulously welded, riveted, and assembled to meet the highest standards. APE specializes in complex, high-precision fabrication for clients in the defense, aerospace, transportation, nuclear, and industrial manufacturing sectors. They handle materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and various alloys with expertise. Precision Tig Welding

APE has expertise in welding steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and various other alloys using a variety of welding processes, including TIG, MIG, and Flux Core. Our team of skilled welders are certified to the AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code and can obtain additional certifications as required for specific projects. This ensures we consistently deliver high-quality, reliable welds tailored to meet the stringent requirements of any project and the individual needs of each client.

Machining

APE's machining department excels in milling and turning components using up to 5-axis capabilities. We work with a wide range of materials, including steel, aluminum, stainless steel, various alloys, and plastics. Serving the aerospace industry and other advanced manufacturers, we ensure precision and quality in every project. Our team is also skilled in providing the necessary documentation for material traceability and inspections, meeting the stringent requirements of our clients.

Structural Welding

APE has welders that are certified to AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code and can qualify as needed for many other codes as needed for specific projects.

Documentation

Mission critical projects require significant attention to detail with inspection and documentation and APE utilizes our engineering team and AS9100 Process driven approach to assure that all parts and materials are inspected according to the needs of the customer and project.

We start with nothing but a problem statement and start penciling out concept designs.

3D Modeling.

  Concepts are turned into complete and highly detailed 3D CAD models where each detail can be meticulously defined.

The information embedded in the 3D model is used in partnership with the most advanced manufacturing technology and skilled craftsmen to turn the digital design to a physical prototype.

The system is painted, plated and assembled by skilled technicians.

The finished system is validated during factory acceptance testing to assure it functions as intended and ready for deployment to the customer.

MACHINING

APE’s Machining Department specializes in milling and turning up to 5-axis parts. We can work with a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, other alloys, and plastics. Supporting the aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing markets, we use lean manufacturing practices and industry-leading workflow controls to deliver high-quality products on very tight schedules.

Precision Milling

Turning

When parts start as a round bar, they most likely need to be turned on a lathe to get to the final shape and precision.  We utilize CNC lathes to make shafts, pulleys, bushings, spindles and other cylindrical parts for a wide range of advanced manufacturing project types.

Post Processing
